Safe Psychiatric Medication Tapering
Many of my patients come to me feeling stuck on multiple medications—or fearful about trying to stop without help. My tapering plans are:
Hyper-personalized – no one-size-fits-all protocols
Gradual & safe – using tiny, strategic reductions based on your response
Holistically supported – with therapy, nervous system care, and natural alternatives when appropriate
Collaborative – you’ll always know what’s happening and why
This is about more than just getting off medication. It’s about finding freedom, clarity, and confidence on the other side.
Root Cause Investigation
If psychiatric medications aren’t the long-term answer, what is?
We will dig deep to explore the why behind your symptoms—often hidden in:
Chronic inflammation or immune dysregulation
Trauma and unresolved emotional patterns
Nutritional and hormonal imbalances
Nervous system dysregulation
Life misalignment and occupational burnout
Medication withdrawal effects that need careful, supported navigation
Together, we uncover the hidden drivers—including safely transitioning off medications when appropriate—so your healing can finally begin at the roots, not just the surface.
True recovery happens when we address what created the distress in the first place, while providing proper support through every step of your journey, including withdrawal.
Natural Alternatives Exploration
Not everyone wants medication. And even for those who have used it for a crisis, it shouldn’t be the only tool.
I help you explore options like:
Targeted supplements and nutritional strategies
Grounding techniques to support mood regulation
Lifestyle interventions and habit shifts
Nervous system tools for anxiety, dissociation, or overwhelm
We create a roadmap that aligns with your values and your biology.
Therapy for Dissociation & Nervous System Issues
Symptoms like brain fog, emotional numbing, detachment, or overwhelm. They also can be nervous system adaptations to a variety of causes (e.g., substance or pharmaceutical reactions, disease, traumatic stress).
I offer integrated therapy that includes:
Support for depersonalization and derealization
Understanding trauma-based coping patterns
Strategies for building emotional presence and resilience
Tools for self-regulation, grounding, and reconnection
We focus on helping you feel more in your body and in your life.
Complex Psychiatric-Medical Cases
Many of my clients have seen multiple doctors, been on multiple meds, and still feel unwell.
I specialize in polypharmacy cases (on 3+ psychiatric meds), and those with overlapping physical and mental health concerns. I help make sense of:
Drug interactions and withdrawal risks
Medical-psychiatric crossovers (e.g., autoimmune, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and neurological conditions)
Safe sequencing of medication tapers
Developing whole-person care plans
Collaborative care with your other specialist doctors
If you’ve been told “it’s all in your head”—you deserve better.
I now accept insurance in New York (with Pennsylvania coming soon). This makes care far more accessible while preserving my ability to focus completely on your unique needs.
For self-pay rates, see pricing above.
My approach to diagnosis
I don't center my practice around DSM labels. While insurance billing requires diagnostic codes, I view these as necessary administrative tools in an imperfect system rather than definitions of who you are. We'll discuss any codes together, focusing on what truly reflects your experience and supports your healing—not what fits you into a predetermined box.
Transparency about coverage
I'm committed to transparency about costs. If I'm recommending a service or approach that I think may not be covered by your insurance plan, I'll let you know upfront so you can make an informed decision about your care.
Please note that while psychiatric and therapy visits are all typically covered by insurance, compounded liquid medications for tapering and supplements are usually not covered. Compounded medications typically range from $50-150/month depending on the medicationsignificantly less than many specialized tapering programs while still providing precise, customized dosing. For supplements, I offer professional-grade options through Fullscript at a discount and can always recommend lower-cost alternatives.
